@ginnymcqueen I agree. Unless I can buy bread with it, it's not a useful currency for me. Bitcoin mining in any practical sense is well beyond the reach even of people with a lot of money and equipment at this stage. Plus it wastes a vast amount of electricity.
@bob Most bitcoin mining is actually losing more money then you're getting out of it when you consider exchange rates vs cost of electricity.
@maiyannah the practical threshold is where you at least break even. Sufficiently few people do bitcoin mining now that it's effectively centralised. Whoever controls block solving controls the currency.
