I caught a glimpse of some police footage and I just saw a cop give a dog a pat down.

The dog and his owner walked to the cop who was giving pat downs. The cop just reached over, patted down the dog neck to tail with both hands, and then moved on to the human.

Did the cop want an excuse to pet the dog? Did he think the dog had a gun? That was bizarre.

@GinnyMcQueen That is super weird and I think the cop just wanted to pet a dog. Or wanted to give the dog reassurance in a tense environment.

@jillybobww I was more like, woah, this cop just reached right over, didn't even wait to see if the dog was going to be cool with it or not. Lucky he was!

@GinnyMcQueen When I watched the changing of the guard at Windsor Palace and few guards were standing on the perimeter with the hound (who did have an outfit), on of the guards quick reached over and stealth petted the dog.

@GinnyMcQueen I guess he didn’t want to strip search the dog in public. ;-)
