This isn't hyperbole or anything. I genuinely mean it. Stop listening to the opinions of rich people. They don't know what they are talking about and they are the one group of people who don't need our help and the definitely don't need to be listened to.
@GinnyMcQueen blaming a group - any group - is no different than the racism and sexism we have so strongly tried to overcome. I personally know wealthy people that are trying to make a big difference in the world and their generosity and life affirming actions are felt across all walks of life. i feel your frustration but we have to be careful not to blame stereotypically - because then we are no different than the others.
@foox @GinnyMcQueen I think both of you are right. There are plenty of wealthy people that try to make a positive difference, but also those that could care less.
@GinnyMcQueen I general, I'd agree with that, yes, especially in the entertainment industry.
@TechieInAK Why especially? Why are rich people in the entertainment industry singled out?
@GinnyMcQueen Sorry, let me walk that back a bit... I didn't realize you had multiple posts in a thread. I only saw the last one that I commented on, something obviously should be careful about.
Do they get singled out more often, do you think?
From my perspective, they're in the news with opinions, so that singles them out from my perspective. Not because they're worse than anyone else but they tend to be more newsworthy because they're celebrities.
@TechieInAK It's weird to say to "especially" not listen to rich people in the entertainment industry when what you really mean is that you hear from them more. If you gave a microphone to other rich people in other industries, do you think their opinions need to be heard more?
@GinnyMcQueen Why is it weird to single out those that make noise and put themselves out there?
@TechieInAK Don't listen to any rich people. There. Problem solved.

Rich people are making something that literally kills people sound like a fun hobby. It is not. This shit kills people. It's been killing me for over a year.
Don't listen to people who can afford doctors or know they won't be homeless next month. They don't know what they are talking about.
