Alright, so yesterday happened.

I'm in a state of euphoria over this new hour of Twin Peaks...

Just...wow, what a time to be alive.

Recital was really fun, everything was lovely.

Also lately I've been having fun with a little multitracking app on my phone that I found a couple days ago.

I've got 44 viola duets by Bartok, and I'm making recordings of some with me doing both parts. Entirely on my phone. (Sound quality's meh, but hey, it's a phone.)

Technology, eh?

Started arbitrarily recording Bartok duets with myself playing both parts today.

Once you get past how annoying and ruthless multitracking yourself on a fretless string instrument with no backing or click tracks is, it's kinda fun to put it all together.

I'm working on music stuffs.

It's been fun.

Just saw Inland Empire for the first time.

It was one of those experiences where there is so much oddity going on for three hours that I barely remember it afterwards, but I get the feeling it'll start coming back to me in bits and pieces in a few days.

Also, oh my god, Laura Dern. Wow.

It's two weeks before a recital in which I'm playing most of the time completely alone.

There's that old "crunch" feeling. Haven't had that in a while. Ha. Ha ha.

It isn't exactly "anxiety," but there's definitely some edge there.

Perhaps I'll tag this with #LynchThe4th because that is an extremely amusing tag to me and I just now came up with it.

What better way to celebrate the impending 4th of July, as an American, than to watch as many David Lynch films as humanly possible over the next few days?

#NowPlaying Eraserhead. Incidentally, this is somehow the first time I've ever seen it. Now I get to call myself a "real" Lynch fan! Whoo!

(And I realize that Netflix IS a paywall network, but the point is that #Sense8 stayed with that network, and behind that paywall, for its entire handful of years. #TwinPeaks was on freaking ABC, and ended up on Showtime 26 years later. Bit of a difference there.)

When I look at #TwinPeaks, which took 26 years of constant fan demonstration to be renewed (on a different network at that), #Sense8 seems like a tectonic shift in television.

That the same network that brought it out is willing to give it a conclusion it deserves within a year, rather than leaving its viewers stranded in the Black Lodge for a quarter century before coming back behind a bigger paywall like Showtime. Honestly remarkable.

I'm quite happy for the #Sense8 fans. They demonstrated both the power of modern fandom and of modern distribution.

I failed at the Mimikyu challenge. Total party sweep.

I've decided not to pick up with box Pokemon, and just keep the survivors as primary party members, keep playing the game as it goes, without any Nuzlocke rules other than preference for nicknamed pokemon.

Please don't judge. Some of these challenges are really difficult, and I've been restricted to gen 1-3 for several months.

It's gonna be okay. I'll do a better Nuzlocke later on.
