I walked the whole thing (2 miles) yesterday. It seems to me that what's happened was two parallel outgrowths of London in the 19th century started following the same ancient country lane towards each other. Unfortunately, each started numbering at its own end. A historic mess.

Me and my partner are moving next month to Wood Green - the western end of White Hart Lane. Bizarrely, the door numbers on the street start repeating at the eastern end. That's motivation enough for me to walk the whole thing this morning to check it out. There are plenty of duplicate streets in London but this is a whole new level of ridiculous.
People who ride motorbikes in urban areas that make incredibly loud roaring and banging noises should get their licenses taken away. I thought of some tweets just now about loud noises when you're on the autistic spectrum but I'm really not in the mood to type a lot right now.
