It is always okay to ask for help if you need it. The only way we get through any of this is to help each other in any way we can.

You deserve to be healthy, safe, and happy.

I care about you all very much. ❤

I've become more isolated the last couple of years. Losing close family members and moving across the country played into that.

I always find it hard to figure out what to share on something like this (or twitter). Not on FB anymore. I flee from spotlights like a scared cockroach.

I can't imagine anyone caring about what I eat, or that I had anything all that interesting happen.

The boys' first day of summer vacation and they're playing board games.

I'm a man who grew up in a misogynistic society. I had a wonderful role model in the form of a single father who embraced all aspects of adulthood, including "domestic" (read: traditionally female) roles, and proved that being an adult was always more important than being masculine.

I've learned that as much as I try to be inclusive of women, I always have further to go. If I mess up, please let me know; I'd rather be right tomorrow than think I've always been right.

Refreshing your news feed won't help anyone.

There are hundreds of ways to help people today.

Tip your server a couple extra dollars. Text your friends some compliments. Share something you enjoy with others. Support an artist. Support a charity. Volunteer at a homeless shelter. Draw someone a picture. Buy some supplies for your local animal shelter. Write random encouraging notes and leave them for people to find.

There is so much we can do. ❤

I passed my exam in escrima last weekend!

no no, see, it was a mishear, a transcription error.

its not about avocado toast

it's about the Avocado-Toast model, from renown economists Dr. Jameson R. Toast Ph.D and Dr. Philip R. Avocado

the Avocado-Toast model shows how our economy is a pyramid scheme, propping up previous generations.

but the straw man of millennial frivolity was just too tempting, no one looked into it past the name.

You can see the related concept, the Avocado-Toast Gap, illustrated here:

I like how people use the phrase "equal opportunity offender" to handwave away someone being racist.

"They can't be racist, because they're *incredibly racist*"

I want to bike to work, but:
1 - it's 31 miles, one way
2 - part of it is on a highway with no shoulder

I have 4 barn cats, is that enough to let me stay in Kitty.town?
