@verity Yes indeed! It's mainly just a hobby, but I play in a lgbt orchestra in the Bay Area for funsies.

@guretsugu nice! always love orchestra - I've been playing in ensembles for most of the time I've known how to play viola :D

(it's not Walton, much as I like his viola concerto) I'm coming out of a Bruckner phase?? and also Beethoven (especially his piano works) is evergreen 🤔

@verity Beethoven's piano sonatas are bomb. I've always been partial to Respighi myself, but Bruckner's symphonies are pretty epic as well.

@guretsugu I only discovered Bruckner last year after playing Te Deum in orchestra!

I played Beethoven for my piano exams, so I spent quite a while with it, and once we got past the technically fiddly bits it was really cool to unpack how the chords moved from one section to another.

@verity I'd really like to take some time to study them more in depth. Now that I'm not in school any longer, I'm considering looking for a private teacher again.
